Scattered Rose Petals

She lay awake
Under a twilight sky
As scattered rose petals
Floated by

She held her breath
In awe and wonder
As those ethereal blossoms
Lingered above her

She wished that moment
Would last forever
But realized such dreams
Were hopeless endeavors

And as she remained there
Under that starry sky
She cried as those rose petals
Drifted right by

  1. Awe she should dry those tears and notice the beautiful twinkling stars above her…with so many magical stories that they are waiting to share with her. Lovely but sad poem.
I love, love, love your background wall Michelle!!
