Portions of Time

Limited portions of time
Were all they ever had
And so life persevered
While she remained sad

Every day was the same
Nothing new or exciting
And inside her heart
She was secretly dying

But what could she do
She wasn’t promised perfection
And so she continued on
Without any objection

Her life wasn’t always sunny
But she accepted the rain
For she knew life could be worse
So she didn’t stop to complain

  1. Deep but SO TRUE. Monotony, monotony. The world can be so grey!
Also, I just updated myself on your blog and you are an exceptional writer! I love the many dimensions you write in how every thing is so versatile, somehow. I absolutely love your responses to this writing prompt.

    1. Aww… thank you Thari. You just made my whole day better. I’m so behind in my reading these days. So thank you for taking the time to read through some of mine. I’ve been enjoying reading your responses as well. 😉
