A touch of whimsy

Whimsy was always
Her favorite forte
Coming forth routinely
In all she’d say

Quirky pieces
She happily penned
Never intending
To startle or offend

Her naughty writings
Those never got old
But certain things
Couldn’t always be told

She deliberated over
The things she said
But silly often spilled
Right out of her head

Nonsense was another
That made it through
Always spreading frivolity
On just the right cue

A touch of whimsy
Could always be found
Whenever her pen decided
To dance around

And so with her
You could always depend
On a laugh or a giggle
At the very end
