Tangled Webs

Bitterness seeps
Right under the door
Hiding in the crevices
Of the saturated floor

Mopping up the mess
Takes its daily toll
Can’t ever get back
What you carelessly stole

Tangled webs
Replace the oozing venom
As blood stains form
On the cuffs of my denim

My heart now ruptured
For the hundredth time
Impossible to clean up
The filth and the grime

Stuck in this situation
For the rest of my days
Forcing myself to walk
Through this foggy haze

The things I once hoped for
Now just irrecoverable dreams
Lost forever in the creases
Of these blurry-eyed streams

        1. Grant, this is one of the nicest compliments anyone could give me. To be able to inspire someone else to write makes me really happy. 🙂 There will definitely be more prompts in November and if you want, you could even do the ones from September. Can’t wait to see what else you come up with! 😉

      1. You are very welcome. When I received my nomination yesterday, I thought this would be a fun way to share my appreciation of other bloggers. Please feel no obligation to write your own. I only seek to be an encourager to others.
