Writers Unite!

once-upon-a-time-719174_960_720

Stuck here without
A single word to say
A nightmare for any writer
When facing such a day

Completely uninspired
Ideas just won’t come
Unfortunate days like this
Leave us all feeling glum

Motivation has vacated
And the magic has gone
But a writer can’t give up
We must strive to push on

So here’s your inspiration
Mines right here as well
None of us can give up
For words are where we dwell

Try to think of something
Really anything at all
For writers must unite
Lest we all start to fall

Creativity beckons our pens
Day after glorious day
Not a one of us can give up
For every word must have its say

So hold your pens high
And leave your skepticism at the door
We’re all gonna write tonight
Like we never have before!

    1. I was asked today how I usually combat writer’s block, and I said… Well, I just sort of keep at it, even as lousy as some writing days can be. Then eventually something good gets written and I’m at it full force again. Lol… 🙂

    1. Wow! Can you share some of you inspiration with me? Lol… I barely worked this one out. Completely unmotivated at the moment. Think I’ve just been too tired lately. My brain doesn’t want to cooperate any longer. Lol. I’ll have to stop by and read your page later. I’m behind on my reading again too.

      1. I find reading can be tricky. My page only holds 40 posts n i miss stuff then have to put time aside to go back. I’ve just scheduled then for the next week or so 🙂

I found taking a break helped. Intentionally missing a few days and doing other stuff. Mostly sleeping and watching TV n reading n getting outdoors too. Just not writing.

        1. That’s good… I find it really helpful to have stuff prescheduled. Takes the pressure off. I think I’m gonna need a break soon. Just feels like my momentum is waning.

  1. Yes ~M~, I have plenty of these days, but now I don’t fret anymore, I’ve learnt to relax, it’s my brain telling me I’m tired. So all I do is just jot down a few ideas on subjects I’m thinking about. Today it’s fruits and trees, and being young and climbing the trees to pick the fruits, and then wild berry picking as well, haha, I’ve nearly written something, I’m out having a coffee, and a cake, relaxing and mind is flowing already, and now there’s a summer downpour, haha, I’ll get home and there’ll be plenty to write about, that’s if I stop chatting to you. I’m buying some ingredients for a broccoli salad, ah, 2 heads of broccoli, slivered almonds, cranberries, red onion, whol egg mayonnaise, lemon juice, picked up the recipe from lady client I did a plumbing job for. If you want any more instructions I’ll send soon.😆, whenever I amble on home. Wow too much talking here Ivor, hope you didn’t mind… ♡♡

    1. Your recipe sounds delish, but broccoli and me have a love/hate relationship. Sounds almost like a recipe I already have too. It seems like you’re having a wonderful day. Eat lots of cake for me… haven’t had any in quite awhile.
