Moonlit Excursions

moon

Unaccompanied
Under a moonlit sky
This was an excursion
Of the companionless kind

Yet she didn’t mind
For she knew she had it all
The wonder and splendor
As she sat there so small

The universe smiled
And sprinkled down its love
As the waves caressed her
Like the cooing of a dove

Wrapped in the comfort
Of her saviors precious gift
This was surely a sign
Of an illuminating shift

And she didn’t need anyone
To tell her what she knew
She had already seen
What miracles can do
