The spotted speck

sparkling

It floated across
The wide open sea
A spotted speck
Was all it seemed to be
And yet upon
A much closer inspection
She noticed it was just
A mere reflection
Twas the sun glinting
Off the crystalline blue
Radiating a rather
Resplendent hue
And she wished every image
Could have such a lovely effect
And wondered why the whole world
Couldn’t be like that spotted speck

        1. So true… and I love trying to learn new words. I test them out in my poems just to see how they feel sometimes. Of course sometimes I forget their meaning months later and have to go back and look up my own words! Lol… I sure wish I had a better memory sometimes… 😋

            5. Yes you should! Everyone is doing good, and Brian will be home from Iraq to visit for a couple of weeks next month. So everyone’s excited for that.

            7. Hope you and your family are doing well too. And school… hope that’s going good. I have 7 more classes I’m taking this year. 3 of them are math, and I despise math… lol.

            17. Oh gosh D… you should see her recent stuff…. it’s better than anything I could ever write. But she’s been too busy to blog any of it, which is a real shame. Hopefully this summer she’ll start posting again.

            19. Aww… thank you. ☺️ My book is doing good and I might have another being published next month. That is if I can get off my lazy butt and do it. Lol… I’ve been dragging my feet. It’s nearly there. I just need to do the final organizational stuff and order my book cover. Any takers on yours?
