Body shocked
every nerve;
this is not
what’s deserved.
Molten lava
flows through veins,
trying hardest
to refrain.
Many questions,
nothing found.
Oh, this strain,
so profound.
Gut-wrenching,
gnawing sadness,
heartbroken,
this is madness.
Neglected now
and evermore.
Guess I’m just
a big fat bore.

lovely image perfect for the poem. we do have our days, and it’s okay, for it is only art that is made.

Me too… but I don’t much like negative vibing poems, so I thought the ending might make someone laugh. Cindy G. picked up on that and it made me chuckle.

I understand, Cindy did, and I did too. 😁 I tend to resonate with the pain of a poem. I often find beauty in pain.

I know… 😁I was kinda thinking of an extra curvy woman stretched out on a couch, with the back of her hand resting on her forehead, acting as if her life is over. Lol

I hope this is not “based on a true story.” But I suppose we’ve all felt that way.

Otherwise where do we learn from? May those bad moments not outweigh the good.

HI Michelle, the ending of this poem is rather a shock. Nicely done.
