Why’s life so hard
I want to know
I’ve worked so long
But got nothing to show
And I want to do more
But can’t figure out what
This annoyance I feel
Is like a punch to the gut
Trying to decide
What comes next
But all my options
Seem too complex
A blueprint for life
Is really what I need
Without one I fear
I may never succeed

Oh boy! Popular topic, huh. There’s a difference betwixt goals and purpose. Worth some study and thought. Me, I don’t like goals. Boring. Purpose is more… durable. No matter where you are in your life, purpose is the way to move. Don’t matter success or failure, you move you learn you grow from exactly where you are right now. Purpose is a direction, not a place. How’s that for a dime?

I’ve been trying some new things too. Forcing myself to get past this very stagnate stage of my life. It’s working, but also leading me to rethink everything. I can’t completely start over, so I’m working on finishing things I’ve already started. It’s causing me to question why I started these things in the first place, and whether or not any of them are important enough to me to finish. I’m sure you can relate to some of this since me n you are very much alike. Have a wonderful weekend, Kate. ❤️

Thanks for your comment, Simon. I think you’re right, and for most artists it seems to be this way. Nobody gets the recognition they long for until after they’re gone. I really just want to do what I love more than anything else, but I get in my own way most of the time.
