What is it about a dandelion?

She spreads her billowy petticoat
Just wishing for some fun
As her dainty white tufts
Reach for the midday sun

Soft and serene
Her cottony clusters finally do fly
Each ruffle floating along
Towards the infinite wide open sky

Her lacy remnants twirl
On the delicate breezy air
Her dizzying pirouettes
Cause the bees to stop and stare

What is it about her
That makes the world stand still
A graceful little weed
Who can give us such a thrill

Revering Snowflakes

snowflake

Alabaster
in purest form.

Frozen diamonds
like tears from heaven.

Shimmery flecks
woven by the breath of winter.

Delicate intricacies
formed with care.

Fashioned for wonder
by the hand of God.

A split second miracle
marveled by all.

Autumn Enchantment

forest-411491_1280

Crisp autumn bells
Shiver in the breeze
Amongst the tender mulberry
And the grand evergreens

Enchanted they dance
A swirling colorful sea
Those delicate golden clusters
Come alive just for me

Born with a paper heart

paper2

I was born with a paper heart,
Soon to be ripped up and torn apart.

Written upon it were false hopes and dreams,
Scribbled out,
Paper heart ripped at the seams.

Folded until tight and not allowing in light,
People tried but I withstood with all my might.

My delicate heart was not to be touched,
Fear of more hurt, in my hand it stayed clutched.

So under my watch my paper heart will stay,
Until the day that the wind blows it away.

Written by my closest confidant and dearest friend, Will Power.

Where to start
With a paper heart

Uniquely delicate
And gossamer thin

With a pale almost
Colorless skin

Can there be
A more fragile design?

This is why paper hearts
Get left behind
