I struggle for words
Just for you
Any old word
Just won’t do
Words for you
Need to be more
Something that’s never
Been said before
Each word must convey
All that you are
And be perfected
Beyond subpar
So this is my dilemma
And my minds a mess
Trying to find the right words
I want to express
But that’s how much
You mean to me
And now you can see
My quandary

To somehow align
I borrowed your fantasies
And turned them into mine
I couldn’t keep clinging
To the old ones I kept
They were too full of sadness
And so much regret

A sea of swirling mystery
Deeply embedded in my mind
You’re the anchor of my soul
I get lost in your words
Always a varied array of desire
Infinite wants and needs expressed
You’re the ink that colors my heart

I solemnly sit
And think of you
And I wonder
How this life would be
If you were ever
Here with me
I know the answers
Are so close by
Found within the depths
Of every sigh
What we share
Isn’t going away

His kisses are full of magic
They always remind me of simpler days
And I’m wishing we’d had a lifetime together
Think we’d have been happier in so many ways
His smile often reminds me of a sunrise
His cheeks rosy red from the bitter cold
And the way his eyes soften when he looks at me
Well, It’s a look that never gets old
I get lost in the depths of who he really is
The parts that nobody else can see
And when I’m snuggled up next to him
I finally feel like I can be me
