There it was
That first spark
Sputtering to life
Like pixie dust fireflies
Dancing round her head
Her blushing brow
Tattling the truth
Neath the flicker
Of a misty moon

Pounding like pistons
Smoothing every jagged rock
With timeless precision
Ever reminding me
Of the silver linings
Found in my afflictions
For with every persistent beating
Comes polished perfection

Near the sea
In your arms

A twilight cove
In a land far away
This remote place
