Pastel perspectives

sunset2

Pink, white, baby blue
These old perspectives
Now a different hue

Yellow, orange, fiery red
Newfound colors
Filling up my head

Dull pastels wash away
As brilliant fresh colors
Save the day

Head n heart is where they’ll remain
Full of vibrant thoughts
In a stunning terrain

            1. Of course I do… my best friends around here are my 11 and 18 year old daughters. Lol… We laugh and joke all day. They keep me young I suppose. But I only feel about 16 years old myself. At least on the inside. 😉 I decided a very long time ago to never grow up and I still don’t intend to.

            2. That’s awesome but I kind of see you as a business sort who likes guys that wear suits and loungewear that consists of khakis and polos…

            3. If only you could see how hard I’m laughing right now. 😂 I honestly don’t know if my husband even owns a suit that fits him anymore, and I’m quite sure he doesn’t have any polo shirts and I doubt he ever has! Lol… I’m prior military (Army) and he’s just getting ready to retire from the Army. Feels like you’re describing my dad. Lol… I don’t think he wears anything except for suits and polos. 😉

            4. No, 96B (Inteeligence Analyst) I never made it past being a lowly specialist. Lol…. There was no way I was going to go to PLDC so that I could get a promotion. I wanted nothing to do with a leadership position. Lol… I’m happy and content obeying orders. Course I get to boss my hubby around so that’s quite nice. And he outranks me!

            5. I shudder at the thought. Lol… And yeah, that’s why I married him. He ordered me around too much when we used to work in the same office. It’s my revenge!

            6. Oh yes! My hubby brought back pictures of some of the crawfish boils he went to. Looked delicious! He says it’s really spicy when you have seconds or thirds because everything is made in the original pot of spices and they just keep adding more.

            7. I’m the same way unless I’m focused on something else at home. And only when I’m talking to someone one-on-one. Get me in a group setting and I clam right up.

            8. I’m speak when spoken to in person. But once I get to know someone I open up real quick. And I have to feel like I’m wanted around

            9. Seriously… people always seem to get a strange first impression of me. I’ve tried my whole life to figure out what it is I’m doing, that’s so different from everyone else.

            10. They always seem to think of me as the “good girl” Lol… It’s so annoying. 🙄 And lonely yes, after spending two years away from my hubby and all of my family being between 1,000 to 2,000 miles away from me, it was a bit difficult. Shy? Hmmm…. I used to be extremely shy… now I think it’s just more of me being socially awkward.

            11. I never understood the offense of being a good girl. I always liked the good girls.

I think you just tend to learn people and warm up to them. They either get your approval or they don’t.

            12. I don’t understand it either, but it meant I was typically an outcast most days, Lol… I think the older we get, the more we don’t really care how we’re labeled.

            13. Yeah, I;m good. Just saying goodnight to my daughter. 😉 I feel like I miss so many opportunities to talk to people here on WP. I feel like I can’t get a handle it because I follow so many people.

            14. Out of all my followers, I keep up pretty well with them. I have a specific few that are very involved and seem to need me so I keep up with them. The more I observe, the fewer the real following.

            15. I’ve found it hard over the years when I get really close to someone on here and then they give up blogging altogether. I end up missing them so much. That’s happened so often!

            16. If it weren’t for a few I probably would have left a long time ago. But some really seem to need me. I don’t want to leave them.

            17. I don’t think I’ll ever leave because if nothing else, this is my place to write my heart out. It’s my journal of sorts. The place where I’m free to say what I want and not worry about what anyone else thinks. Of course like we spoke of before, there are subjects that get a little bit iffy.

            18. And if anyone is socially awkward it’s me…. I never know what kind of mood I’m in and I do have occasional emoji conversations…

            19. Yes in a way. Online, i can always think about what I say before posting. Even though then it’s not always “well thought out”

I reckon in person it takes a specific kind of person to enjoy me…

            20. I think for me it’s just hard because I didn’t grow up around here where I live now. People are so different here. They look at me like I’m alien sometimes! Lol… So I do better on the blog.

            21. Well it’s true…. so….. 😋 Or maybe I’m actually young. I think it’s all in our perspective. To someone who’s 100, they’d say I’m very young. But to someone who’s 5, they’d say I’m very old. My kids still say I’m young. So, I guess I’ll go with that for today. 😉
