There’s a trick to mending
stale bread
But not for the kind
that’s in your head
It takes more than moisture
to fix your noggin
Gotta get it out quick
might help to go bloggin
One dried out piece
can cause much strife
Might need to dig it out
with a wedge or a knife
The skull might crack
but the mind won’t fail
Tied to the heart
though it’s not as frail
Once the ration is plucked
you’ll feel much better
Traipsing through life
now unfettered
But a boy who clings
to stale bread
Well in his mind
he’s already dead

That may have been my first poem I read about bread. 🥰

I thought I’d try to make a little lame joke about stale bread… but I was a little loaf-energy—guess I didn’t rise to the occasion. 🥪

Shall I send a little pat of butter to help you feel better? 😉

Hey, there’s a book titled “Beneath The Canopy” written by an author with the same name as yours. Is it yours actually? 🤔

Thank you very much for your inspiring words, Michelle. There might be some login related issues from WordPress, so sorry about that.

You’re most welcome, and yes I think you’re right. I will try to get on my computer later. Whenever I read from my phone it rarely lets me comment.

Hey that’s okay, you don’t have to go so much out of your way just to comment. Thanks for the lovely gesture though!
There’s a “Jetpack for WordPress” app for iOS as well as Android. The app makes reading a pleasant experience in phones too. Try installing it, may be you’ll like reading blogs and posts on it. Here is the App Store link for iOS: https://apps.apple.com/in/app/jetpack-for-wordpress/id1565481562

Thanks, and yes, I have the app. But for some reason I can’t always like or comment on blogs with it. That’s’ ok though, there’s always my trusty computer. 😉
