Orbs of light
dance before me.

Iridescent illusions
begging for attention.

Wisps of wonderment,
mesmerizing and bizarre.

Veiled splendor,
yearning for notice.

Hidden behind
a harsh reality.

And I say…
“I see you.”

My heartfelt wish
is that she’ll keep on dancing

And in nebulous purple,
she remains my phantom friend.
