Washing woes…

laundry-413688_1280

I am a slave
To its ring
That monstrosity
Of a thing

It calls for me
Night and day
Happily chiming
In its annoying way

And I wonder
What’s the good
To wish for a life
Beyond motherhood

For I was born to clean
Every mess
And so now
I shall digress

Trouble

His eyes they sparkle
Like the shining sea
Whenever he smiles
Looking at me

And I blush in response
To his mischievous grin
Oh the heap of trouble
We often get in

Savoring the thrill

naked-1216595_1280

Savoring the thrill
Of his tempestuous kiss
He ravaged her soul
In a moment of bliss

She couldn’t catch her breath
His hands were tangled in her hair
And of everything else around her
She was completely unaware

Time seemed to stop
There was nowhere to go
The universe still remained
And yet the day she did not know

For she had lost all awareness
In the nonexistent realm of reality
And all that she remembered
Was what he wanted her to see

Hope

With such little time
I must break free
Of all the darkness
Surrounding me

For light and love
Are surely near
The fact of that
Will soon be clear

Heightened senses

night-3494221_1280

There’s a chill in the air
A sure sign of change
The same shivery feeling
Found in breezes of the past

And while déjà vu goosebumps
Leave me to ponder present time
The atmosphere is unsympathetic
As I wrestle with these thoughts
