Lust colored love

We slept naked,
molten bodies like lava;
we collided.

You felt intense
but loving,
the perfect mixture
of naughty n nice.

I felt like you wanted
to cherish me,
then rape me;
love me,
but leave me hanging
by a lifeless thread.

And we were endless,
both lost in the dark,
floating away in an abyss
of nothing and everything.

Mixing like watercolors
with no describable color,
we lost ourselves
to our lusty love.

Our anchor out of reach,
we kept each other
from whirling away
into oblivion.

Holding steady in the still,
waiting for the light
to at last consume us.

Straying too far
from where we’d begun,
then saved at last
by the never-failing strands
of time.

We soon collapsed
side by side,
nestled in the downy bed
of our imperfections.

Anything is possible…

Their connection was unique
Formed from remnants of dismantled dreams
And wiry bits of tattered truths
It was the kind of connection
Which everyone assumed would never last
Even time seemed to consider it a lost cause
But somehow between the layers
Of their oddly structured foundation
An unbelievable bond was formed
Secretly this tie grew stronger
Day by day and year by year
And without fail they proved the impossible was possible

Lovesickness

Lovesickness;
don’t catch it;
you’ll never be the same.

Seriously,
don’t contract it;
you‘ll only have yourself
to blame.

To prevent it,
you’ve got to avoid it
by looking the other way.

And don’t dare spread it
if you come down with it,
or the whole world
will be full of dismay.

Do you ever send whispers on the wind?

Do you ever try to send whispers on the wind,
and if you do, what do you say?
Are your murmurs pleasant and cheery,
or do they come out more cold and gray?

What if everyone sent messages on the wind;
do you think we’d all feel more heard?
Imagine a chance to say all you want
and never be deferred.

I often wonder if our soft soliloquies
do sometimes make it to their intended;
to be able to pour out our hearts without reproach
seems like it would be quite splendid.

Confrontation can be so intimidating;
I often wish others could just feel my words.
Spoken sentimentalities drifting on the wind,
is it really all that absurd?

Eternally aware

How does a love
grow so deep;
how does it fill us
until we weep?

Such a powerful force
rooted in the heart,
grown stronger each day
by never being apart.

Physically we can be absent,
as wonton bodies need rest,
and separation often helps
to put us to the test.

But to be intimate together
is about heart, soul, and mind;
that’s where the closeness is
forever aligned.

And so I’ll always be with you,
whether you go here or there,
connected by our love;
eternally aware.
