Superficial

Like a geyser, I gush,
spurting my rage,
but it’s all underneath,
turmoil engaged.

From the top of my head
to the bottom of my feet,
the swells of unrest
continue to heat.

The storm grows stronger,
destruction in its wake.
Still, I try to breathe calmly,
fearing I might break.

And nobody ever knows
the misery I endure;
It’s all just a façade,
a superficial blur.

The key

Here waiting
by this old rusty door,
the key to my future
and all its splendor.

Walking through the door,
a brilliant light floods my path;
darkness dissipates behind me
as I make a mad dash.

Finally, free of all
I’ve ever known and endured,
your outstretched hand in front of me,
so gentle and concerned.

At long last, finding the place
where I belong,
wrapped in a love so tender
and yet so strong.

Your embrace whisking me
away from this world,
the depths of our desires
at last unfurled.

Ignored

Body shocked
every nerve;
this is not
what’s deserved
.

Molten lava
flows through veins,
trying hardest
to refrain.

Many questions,
nothing found.
Oh, this strain,
so profound.

Gut-wrenching,
gnawing sadness,
heartbroken,
this is madness.

Neglected now
and evermore.
Guess I’m just
a big fat bore.

Virginia

In whispers along
those distant easterly winds,
I hear you yearning
from deep within.

A hushed desire,
a shushed thrill,
waiting and wanting
as the cold night stills.

Desperate longing,
so loving and sure,
making all these miles
so hard to endure.

Racing thoughts
as cravings run rampant,
yet suffocated by sheets
where warmth is absent.

The days tick by
while our breasts lay bare,
but dreams they beckon,
flourishing in the air.

Our fantasies morph
into realistic pleasures
and dancing after dusk
is our favorite endeavor.

But it’s there in the shadows
where we truly find our way,
into each other’s arms,
where we strive to stay.

Desperate for one kiss,
appeased by a calming sigh
hidden in our hearts,
all the many reasons why.

Among the wildflowers

Capture

Among the wildflowers
I laid my heart bare
Speaking to myself
But imagining you there

Your eyes stared back
Hungry with need
As I spilled the words
My heart ached to bleed

You felt the fire
Underneath my dress
As I searched for heartstrings
Embedded on my chest

You fueled my flame
With your incessant desire
And I couldn’t hold back
From what you’d inspired

I gave myself over
To your smoldering touch
Pulling you closer
Wanting you so much

With my eyes closed tight
I uttered your name
On the edge of bliss
You were now mine to claim

I took all you offered
Begging for more
Freeing my desire
Like never before

And in breathless euphoria
My body laid bare
Hidden by wildflowers
Yet you were still there
