I miss my America

I miss my America,
the land of the free
and the home of the brave.
Every day I see sadness,
war beaten faces
from battlefields,
found in my own backyard.
We used to be one nation
united under God.
We were indivisible with liberty
and practiced justice for all.
But how many people
even remember
our nation’s promised pledge.
The allegiance we swore
to the flag of our forefathers,
is a promise we failed to keep.
The roots of our republic
have somehow been forgotten
and the turmoil caused
from present day happenings
has torn the unity
straight from our hearts.
It’s a dishonor to our nation,
but even more so
a disgrace to our God.
Freedom of speech
never gave us the right to ruin
what our brave forefathers
fought to defend.

  1. So refreshing to read a post from someone who still loves America. Apologies if my comment appears twice as I continue to have WP difficulties in that if I am unable to “like” in the reader, it will not allow me to comment. Warm wishes to you in these very challenging times.

    1. Thank you for your very kind comment. I hope whoever our next leader is, that they will show love and compassion for all. It’s what our nation needs now more than anything else. Warm wishes to you too. 🙂

  2. And Los Angeles. And I will add San Francisco simply because it’s Nancy Pelosi’s town. That woman is unfreakin’ real. She needs to be ousted from her position or when and if Biden get’s elected and dies shell’ become vice-president.

Now there’s soemthing to think about.

  3. Save America and preserve old-school values & ethics.

Vot Trump/Pence 2020 all the way!

If anyone has a problem with that I’ll explain it to you. Take a long, hard look at California ans ask yourselves: why are people leaving this state ion droves?

Then take another long look at Seattle Portland, Minneapolis, New York, Chicago, Baltimore, Kenosha… and ask yourself: Is this really what I want from my city & state leaders?

    1. I wholeheartedly agree. I pray Americans will wake up and realize that if Biden/Harris win, they will transform America to resemble the poorly managed and crime ridden cities of Seattle, Portland, New York, San Francisco, Chicago and on and on and on until we look like a third world country. This election is about saving America.
