He’s learned me
while I’ve memorized him,
and slowly over the years,
the binding of our love story
has mostly stayed intact.
Sure our relationship
is not without its frayed edges,
but we are still bound
by the stubbornest of wills,
refusing to be beaten
by all those little things.
Our love is sincerely simple,
mostly held together
by old remnants of duct tape
and traces of super glue.

Thank you, Cindy. I think I mostly took my inspiration from an old paperback book that my husband always took with him out to his field exercises in the military. That book has seen and been through a lot, kind of like us.

You’re sooo welcome. It worked well and we have to take it wherever we get it right!!!! I would imagine blood, sweat and tears in those pages. 💖💖💖

All relationships have highs and lows. Ours has been held together with love, trust and respect and is stronger than ever.
