Daydreaming…

silhouette-4844079_1280

I felt your lips
press against mine.
They were gentle, hesitant
and your body was shaking.

But as soon as you felt
my body respond with vigor,
there was nothing holding you back.
Your kisses became wild and frantic.
I felt your urgency and need.

And my only thought
was that I wanted more,
as you began devouring
every last bit of me.

He’s like the wind…

hand-3938729_1280

There
Then gone
Back again
Then gone again
The cycle never ends
I can’t catch him
Keep him
Make him stay
He’s like the wind
Through outstretched arms
I come back empty
Every time

In the still of the night

woman-4284892_1280

In the still of the night
he came to me.
Kneeling beside me,
I could feel his feathery touch.
He was memorizing my features,
hoping I wouldn’t wake.
I was only pretending to be asleep,
enjoying the feel of his hand.
Desperately wanting to reach out,
but not daring to ruin the moment.
And I wondered about all he was thinking,
as he traced every crease on my face.
I wanted to open my eyes and smile,
as he placed warm kisses on my cheeks.
But I dared not even open one eye,
for I knew he’d then be gone.

Words just for you

love-quote-1709944_1280
I struggle for words
Just for you
Any old word
Just won’t do

Words for you
Need to be more
Something that’s never
Been said before

Each word must convey
All that you are
And be perfected
Beyond subpar

So this is my dilemma
And my minds a mess
Trying to find the right words
I want to express

But that’s how much
You mean to me
And now you can see
My quandary

Fantasies

woman-3741339_1280

While waiting for the stars
To somehow align
I borrowed your fantasies
And turned them into mine

I couldn’t keep clinging
To the old ones I kept
They were too full of sadness
And so much regret
