Morphing into Magma

magma

Stripped of her coverings
She began the change
From human form
To something strange

And only the darkness
Knew what she hid
For morphing into magma
Was completely forbid

Even on her planet
Transforming wasn’t allowed
And creatures like her
Had to wear a shroud

She felt euphoric
Whenever she transfigured
Leaving behind a body
Which was mutated and disfigured

The shadows always accepted
Her forbidden altered state
In the depths of the fiery furnace
Where all her demons would silently wait

And so she embraced the feel
Of those eager and intense flames
And now only a fragment
Of her original life-force remains

Time with you…

sunset-3349434_960_720

There never seems to be enough time with you

The days are long and the nights are too

And if I could have my way

I’d steal all the lost minutes in the day

And spend them all with you

Testimony of a peeping alien named Tom

alien-1385521_960_720

It appeared to be liquid love
Consisting of a mercurial matter
Which then showered across her chest
This curious essence completely splattered

She was then drenched in translucent passion
From his apparent spasmodic contraction
And this all seemed to be the consequence
Of some unknown gravitational reaction

Reasoning

mountains

The mind is very good
At creating illusions
Fanciful thoughts
Often become our delusions

We genuinely don’t know
And can never really say
If things might’ve turned out
For the better someway

The reality of every situation
Is that sacrifices come with a cost
And sometimes in the hype
We all get lost

Things often seem senseless
When they’re actually for good reason
So we shouldn’t underestimate
The importance of every season

I’m learning this these days
Realizing more as I go
Understanding the things
That I thought I’d never know

Growing and changing
It’s what we all do
And time is the only one
Who knows what we’ve been through

The In-between

worn

Each crinkled page
Worn and tattered
Reveals the truth
About all that matters

It’s the in-between places
All those crinkles and folds
Which explain the life
That she now holds
