Immutable

In dreams, we stand
along the shore
against the waves
we can’t ignore.

The threat of turmoil
swirls at our feet,
but we both know
there’s no defeat.

For when we stand,
we abide together,
a bond so strong
it can’t be weathered.

Our love more resilient
with every tide,
shipwrecked we’d be
without the other beside.

Sometimes
there are times,
I wish I could
go back.

I’d fix
all the places
where things
went right off track.

But then
I remember,
you can’t fix
what’s not been learned.

So instead,
I just keep livin,
knowin the past
has been adjourned.

Hidden inside a realm
of longing and need

Darkness and light
nourish our souls
Our days and desires
consumed by what unfolds

An alternate universe
is what we’ve created
Our minds free to soar
our hearts awakened

Every day with you
compounds my addiction
A life of love
without limitations

We’re the ones
who didn’t stay,
just kinda wanted
to go our own way.

Those who stayed
are still mostly the same,
and nobody really knows
who we became.

Cause when you don’t stay,
they just don’t know,
and who you were
becomes a distant show.

We took a leap
and found an open door,
and what we discovered
couldn’t be more.

I can’t wait to see the world
stretched out at my feet
and lose myself to love,
getting lost in your heartbeat.

I need the air I breathe
to be shared only by you
and for you to come away
and have all of this too.

I want to see the road ahead
go on forever,

on every endeavor.

I need to spend my whole life
with you by my side
because wherever you are
